Currently, our primary manufacturing product is electric starter motors for motorcycles; this industry is heavily influenced by the annual production number of motorcycles. Since each motorcycle only requires a single starter, the sales of starter motors are inseparably closely related to the number of motorcycles that are produced in a given year. At present, the number of motorcycles that are manufactured worldwide is roughly 30 million units with about 21.45 million units manufactured in China.
Last year, Chongqing Aihua Machine and Electric Co. Ltd. produced approximately 4,500,000 units, thus occupying more than 20% of the domestic market. Chongqing is historically well-known as a motorcycle and auto manufacturing center in China. Presently, the largest motorcycle manufacturer in China is Grand River-Haokue-Suzuki Corporation.
The Grand River-Haokue-Suzuki Corporation produced more than 2.2 million motorcycles, of which Aihua Motors supplied more than 1 million motorcycle starters.
In addition to supplying Grand River-Haokue-Suzuki Corporation, Aihua Motors also supplied motor starters to: Jialing-Honda, Jianshe-Yamaha, Zongshen-Piaggio, Wonjan-Suzuki, Korean Yinxiang, Qianjiang, Huadu Dayang, Luobei Yichu, and many more. Since the domestic market for motorcycles is becoming saturated, Aihua’s sales strategy is adapting.
Aihua is now shifting primary focus toward overseas markets. As Aihua already has cooperation with many foreign partnered domestic companies, this was a logical step in development. The current foreign companies that Aihua has already established a business relationship with include: Cooper (USA), Haldex (Sweden), Ika (Germany), WATT (Austria), MICRO MO (USA), Lucas-TVS (India), Shihlin Motors (Taiwan), TVS Motors (India), and many more.
