Chongqing Aihua Machine and Electronic Co., Ltd. (Aihua Motors) motorcycle starters have been exported to Japan for use by Yamaha Motor Company Ltd. Aihua Motors has also established business relations with a joint venture shared by Yamaha Motor Company Ltd. and China’s Jianshe Group:
Jianshe-Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.
Founded in November of 1992, Jianshe-Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. was a joint venture by Yamaha Motor Company Ltd. and Jianshe Industries Co., Ltd. (Jianshe Group). The total investment amount was USD 81 million, with both companies contributing 50% to this amount. The primary business scope of the joint venture is with regards to the manufacturing and sales of motorcycles and spare parts. Products include the Jinlong JYM250, Jinbao SRV-I, JYM150, and Fengfan JYM90T, among others.
